Fashion Styling is now a popularised and emerging career path within the Australian and global fashion industry. A Fashion Stylist typically sources and organises outfits and accessories for a diversity of clients. However, there is much more to a career in Fashion Styling than being able to put together an outfit.

This course is an excellent entry point into the fashion and creative industries. This certificate will open your eyes to the endless possiblities that the fashion industry has to offer. With a large influence on styling, which is quickly becoming an emerging creative position within the industry, you will take a practical and hands-on approach to study and develop your eye for detail.

This course will allow you to experiment and understand colour, and the effect it has on design and people. You will learn to draw basic sketches to help communicate your design and styling ideas, as well as develop your own design processes for both 2D and 3D forms.

You will learn the main responsibilities of a stylist, draw on the history of design to turn your ideas into contemporary styles and looks, as well as develop written content for a variety of creative platforms including blogs, online stores, websites, newspapers, and magazines. You will also get a taste of what it is like working with real clients, addressing their personal styling needs and styling the customer in garments appropriate for their body shape. You may also have the opportunity to execute your very own photoshoot!
